Is calculating the only way out when the opponent have an overwhelming piece activity. But i am very bad at math type calculations. So, is their no hope for a player like me. Because when a opponent have an overwhelming piece activity, they can usually tinker out and have numerous ways to get an advantage out of their likings regardless of how we try to defend. I am talking about rapid game and not blitz or bullet where the players have ample time to think to get an advantage of their wish since they are front runner in dynamic advantage. I may have a static advantage which can be converted in the long run. But it may be too late because the opponent can win a piece with their piece activity which is called dynamic compensation.
So, what should i actually do other than calculating?
All the players up to 1600 daily rating have a great sense of piece activity. Once the player gets an upper hand, they move their pieces as if they are riding a bike. I feel like they are sharing a knowledge on how they manage to create a road upon which aeroplane can fly. I can only visit the airport to stuck with awe to witness their victory of engineering.
