Hey, what's up with this?  I'm a beginner and I log on to play with someone at my level and I get someone with a rating above 1300.  I'm 600 on my best day.

That can be quite a good learning experience though. Keep playing good players and you'll be good too! happy.png

Some good points.  But, I don't think the game lasted long enough for me to get much out of it.  Oh, well.  I'm sure I'll get over the pain of the loss.

The shorter the game the easier it is to learn from it, because it means the mistakes made were more serious. Long losses tend to be harder to learn from.

I can testify to this... short games are usually “sudden” oop moments. But when I analyze my longer games... the graph usually slowly goes down, and I’m just stuck.

You can set the parameter of the ELO of your opponents

Parameter/Direct/play

You can put maxi  +50/+100/+200/+400

idem the mini

Thanks for the comments!  I think I’ll just play whomever I get.  I guess I can learn best by just playing more!  Thanks again everyone!
