Here ya go. Rub some dirt on it, you'll be fine.
Players dragging game on after clear loss

An opponent is entitled to not resign if they see fit. An opponent is also entitled to take as long as they wish with their moves (until they run out of time). For you to suggest otherwise is arrogant and offensive. If you do not like the rules of chess, find another game.

its their time on their clock they can do what they want with it and if making you wait to collect your little cookie points is what they want to do then they can do it till your nose bleeds

I play 10 minute games and only disappear to get ice cubes for my vodka..and tears
I this is a very fair game. If you play me and I lose, I guarantee you I will do this to you. Mostly because you probably cheated. Also, tomorrow is Sunday - so that can add to it.

I just played a game against dade12 who after losing all his minor pieces, went afk. I typed good game then switched tabs to watch Netflix. When I checked by later I found that he moved. I closed in on him with my queen. He went afk again so I switched tabs. After a minute or so, he moved again to force me to respond or risk losing on time. He did this until he timed out.
The problem here is that Chess.com doesn't detect this behavior as abandoning a game. People like dade12 who do this won't get punished for it by the Fair Play policy.
Anyways, he didn't have much time so his periodic afking didn't really matter but I can imagine how frustrating this can be when the opponent loses their queen early on then decides to waste your time with a dull, uninteractive game.

I once played a tournament game in real life where I reached a winning position and it was mate in 2. At this point, my opponent looked at the board for a few moments, and then instead of resigning or playing the inevitable, put his head to the table and took a nap. Only waking up 8 minutes later when his time was up. I seriously can't believe I'm seeing people on this forum post defending this sort of behaviour. Sure, it's not against the rules, but it is clearly rude and childish. I'm certain you won't spot such attitude in high level professional tournaments.

it is always a matter of opinion wbat is a clear loss. If you don't like how someone plays you have choices. resign, offer draw, timeout, or finish game and never play them again. I like to finish the game and never play them again if their style is too upsetting to me. But that is highly unusual and I just enjoy punishing them.
