Do you mean you should be playing stronger chess or a stronger game than chess?
Considering how relatively few make NM or higher, what would be stronger than chess.
Age doesn't come into it in terms of a strong game. Note that Bach died around 1750 and no one has ever surpassed him in using counterpoint in music (using a background melody rather than chords to back up the main melody).
stronger? interesting. I like to send " I love you" to my opponents when I lose. you cant just grab this game by the pony you know?

Chess is not strong enough for her. She wants to play with real things not small carven pieces of colored wood like her 3 year young sister. Maybe a small pony would be a good start
