As an average chess player, my dream is to play a grandmaster. I have sent challenges to many of them, but none have responded. Have any of you played a GM or any other master on chess.com?

Probably the easiest way is to watch chess.com chess.tv ("Watch" on the sidebar) and watch your favorite GM streamers. Every now and then, they offer challenges from the viewers or run simuls.

I have played titled players on and off chess.com. Never won or drew a single game 😂
Its been a while, but I used to find titled players advertising invites for simuls here and in lichess. It's usually for a small fee (I think I paid about 7-8$), but I think it's worth the money. Some would even record their game with you and send it to you with comments.

I have played titled players. They stream here and sometimes they play viewers and that is your best shot of getting a challenge accepted.

Hence what I posted is not unrelated to anything the OP asked.

I have only played 4 GMs in my life. All were slow play games. My record was 4 wins and no losses or draws.

I've already written "The Elo Fallacy", don't make me write "The GM Fallacy" 
Having said that, there is some "magic" that happens from the FM level and upwards, masters have mastered the game and are able to produce sensible games where, let's say, one mistake is enough for a win against perfect defense. Having said that, it is very common even for GMs to commit several mistakes especially online as games "do not matter". When you are ready, the master will find you

A GM who beats you and an untitled 2000 rated player who beats you will play the same move 99% of the time. In other words if you're not close to GM level they can't use their GM skills against you. They'll just be playing the standard punishment of whatever nonsense you play, and that can be done by players much weaker than GM.

i have a number of times. i've only played a gm once and lost badly in a lightning game but via the us chess members only group on here i've gotten to play a lot of national masters and candidate masters as well as an international master a couple of times. quite a few nms play regularly in the blitz and rapids they run and is rare for a blitz section to not have at least a couple playing. you've got to be high enough to be paired with them (around 1500 or 1600 usually) but if you're around there you're fairly likely to get one round 1.

One sure way to play a G.M is to join a local over the board chess club, why... my club and county were able to over the last 50 years arranged 5 G.M. Simultaneous displays so I have been blessed through these to have played 1. Lev Polgaevsky, 2.Victor Korchnoi, 3.Anthony Miles, 4.Bent Larsen and 5.Raymond Keene. Been long while since played one but have those memories and your local county and club can organise such events British G.M do not earn a great deal of money so are more willing to agree to do them!?
