I have been reading this innane thread, and found it very interesting. I agree that its a bit odd to ask people(stangers) to pay for a membership, and it isn't that much money. On the other hand, I have spent a lot of time in morocco, and the vast mayority of people don't have a bank account, nevermind a credit card. So, in a sense, even if she had the money she couldn't use it to pay for the membership, as I pressume she doesn't have a credit card or even a bank account.

She could only do that if its 14 day games as she doesnt have time for anything less.

No atomic. I want the membership for this tactics training and database study and tournament and internet is too slow so ads make for worse time.
If someone must to save money for two weeks I cannot take from them. Only if someone has the extra money to help for my membership. Like this it is ok.

I'll send you a message about a site where you can do unlimited amounts of tactics puzzles for free because chess.com doesn't let people advertise other sites on their forums. Also I'll send you a link of a pretty good free database. Many games from the chess.com "Master Database" aren't actually played by Masters at all.

The second way easy you get a free email from any provider like lets say hotmail... you go there register then you go to Paypal www.paypal.com and you create a free account (it works like an online banq) After you do that you now have a free banq account with 0$ in it obviously, so you need to get some $ there you go to www.google.com and search for Free ptr (Ptr=paid to read They pay you to read emails) I wont suggest any that would be spam Im just teaching you the how to its quite easy really. You browse the web find one site of those register and they will send you a few mails everyday you get like 0.1 cent for each one you read. once you get something like 1$ you can withdraw it for your paypal account and buy the membership.
The third you go into a forum or the street and you beg for someones else who actually worked for the $ to pay for you who did nothing.
As for everyone here defending the poor guys who can't afford stuff, survival of the fitest rings a bell? If you can't hunt you die as simple as it gets...
I must agree with the rest... I am a student myself, and do not have the extra money to be spending on a membership here. This does not mean that I beg for someone to give me one, or gripe about the heavy $2 /month (sarcasm intended). Yet I benefit greatly from th site.. the daily puzzles, the forums, the articals that others have written, playing numerous games vs all levels of players, live chess... etc.
While I would like to spend the extra money and gain membership, mostly to show my appreciation for the site, I am really getting pretty much the full benefit out of the site now.
I ignore rude emotional responsers. I don't have this for me as problem thanks God or special power. If you have opinion you want to share: be polite and it will be okay for everybody. if nobody can afford to pay extra membership then they should not pay for extra membership. I don't force anyone. If it is something nice for you to help and not hurting your pocket then thanks to you. everyone has story. dont make your problem into my problem with attack on me.

Plus, I am a student and doesn't have any solidified income and I can identify with the starter. But just remember as Jaguar stated, we are in a recession. But what started my statement is then why would we ask someone for money to pay for a hobby that chess.com provides for free. A membership won't make you a better player, rather experience and study. I already feel small right now, so if I'm just making this worse, I'm sorry.
