I meant to say X amount of seconds per move.
X Amount of seconds per move to reduce cheaters from using Computer
0+5 non-cumulative should do the trick. Such time controls exist, although I'm not sure if you can play them on chess.com.
What I am wondering is if Chess.com can offer this time control as an option, and how many of you would prefere to use this time control of 5 seconds per move or 10 seconds per move ?
I believe in Silmans book he whined about this for a couple pages. The problem is, you have 10 seconds for simple captures and opening moves as you have for complicated positions. That is why they made it so the time stays on your clock.
For simple captures and openings you can make it instantly. But it you compare it to blitz where you play the entire game in 5 minutes or longer most people here have plenty of time to cheat by using computer, whereas in if a new time control of X amount of seconds but not more than 5 seconds per move most cheaters that use computer will NOT have enough time to consult their computer. This will elimitate the chance of cheating.

I would like to see time control of. X amount of seconds per move instead of X amount of minutes per game. For instance if you choose a time control of 5 seconds per move and you fail to move withing 5 seconds your opponent win.
