Unless money is tight it is absolutely worth it. The TT is immensely frustrating in timed mode but still a good experience. The videos can be of slightly uneven quality but the better ones are great especially IM Danny Rensch's Live Session vidoes. The real reason to upgrade to diamond are the almost 4000 lessons on Chess Mentor. That's a much more efficient way to study IMHO than books and there are courses that will help you grow your chess skills quite quickly if you put some time in. Just remember the courses aren't miracle workers; just like a good textbook you have to go back and review them. Good luck with your game whatever your decision.
