"what do you think about this?" is a very vague question. If you mean price, they flucuates big time. From $25 hr to $100 hr. You would do fine with a 2000 FIDE rated coach and don't need a GM rated at 2600 based on your rating. Also remember not all great players make great coaches and everything in life is negotiable. I have a coach and love taking lessons. If you can afford a coach and are serious about improving, why would you not take lessons? You are not married to the coach you choose and can take a couple of lessons from different coaches to find the one that best suits your style and personality. I noticed you are not even a Diamond member which when you pay for the year in advance, it comes out to like $9 a month. At a minimum, upgrade your membership and take advantage of all the excellent training tools on this site if you can't afford a coach. I spent 45 minutes today using chess mentor to study mating patterns, watched a video from a GM on a specific defense for black, and learned quite a bit today for only 30 cents, which is what it costs when you breakdown the $9 monthly fee. I hope that helps. Good luck improving your game!!
