Why would the site want to provide membership perks based on how many people view a profile? That doesn't mean that the member is actually contributing to the site in any meaningful way. A better benchmark for adding value is points and that doesn't really portray anything other than activity level and that is not necessarily true value.

Or, instead of your own photo, you could use a photo of an attractive woman. You would get many, many thousands of profile views that way. The ladies here have tons of profile views. Check it out. Kinda creepy!

Yeah. One guy had a funny cat photo with a caption and every few days I'd forget what it said and would click on his profile again so I could read it :p
I checked my profile views today and was surprised that I had 1.006 views. Wow. Would be nice if chess.com would offer an ex gratia upgrade to premium membership status when you hit the 1.000 views level. Obviously these members are active, they solicit interest in the game, the forums and the site and they add value. Just a thought.
