Puzzle Rush needs to be fixed

The most annoying thing about Puzzle Rush, by far, is the fact that in many variations there are extraneous moves that are absolutely not necessary, yet are required to pass.

For example, just got a position where the 4th correct move was +7.72 according to SF, but the move I chose was only +7.3, and apparently was a "wrong" choice. 

This makes absolutely no sense in the scheme of tactics. 

You could argue that some forced mates in completely winning positions can be required. 

However, you cannot require the "best" move that is completely winning, when there are five other moves that are also completely winning, and don't really change the position.

You're right.  Puzzles like that should be reported, although how often staff reacts I have no idea.  Of course if your solution required an extra move or two, well then you're out of luck.  Perfect play is a rather rigid standard, but that's the way they have it set up.
