And for Clarity, I don't mean an EBook reader. You have a physical paperback book (like "Training for the Tournament Player" by Dvoretsky), and need simply a board to play thru moves.
Question about Chess and Android
Chess Free has a two-player mode. You can just use that I believe. There are some good Chess Android apps (came across a list a while ago which explained the pros and cons of each quite well).

netstrider,
Thanks for that info. This is exactly what I was looking for. Now I can go thru a game during lunch at work or when out and about and don't really have the space to lay out a board.
At first I was thinking it was going to be annoying with it flipping every time, but saw the options menu and turned that off so that it wouldn't flip when it was Black to move.

you can check out chess pgn master
I'll check this one out as well and see which is easier to use between the two.
Thanks again.

Chess PGN Master also has a complete opening book tree and a 500,000 game super select Master game data base, you might need the Pro version, it's only a few bucks and seriously well worth it. Also, definitely download SCID, it's completely free and gives you access to TWIC, This Week In Chess, which are weekly data bases of all games from most tournaments world wide. They are available late Monday night every week. There is also Droidfish, which will open and read SCID data bases. Droidfish is really awesome and free with many features plus you can use various engines with any of these. All these apps routinely open and read PGN. Last but not least is Analyze This Pro, which lets you open and read PGN, play through games in monitor and edit modes, try different moves on the fly, etc. Comes with Stockfish 6, and can use other engines, too. You won't be disappointed with any of these apps, and they all fulfill your primary requirement.
Does anybody with an Android phone know if there are any chess apps that allow simply a board where you move pieces for both sides, like if you are doing analysis?
Every app I've seen so far seems to assume Human for White, Computer for Black, some of them allowing you to "switch" and be Black instead, but I have yet to see one where you can turn off the computer and operate both sides, like if you are in a waiting room somewhere for 30 minutes and wanted to go thru a game from a book without having to memorize all the moves played thus far.
Thanks in advance to anybody that can help.
