Question about the chess.com rating system?

Okay well i jsut reached my max rating ever *cheers* 1574 on standard 15 minute time controls on live chess. When i look at the distribution graph there are very few players in this category. Does this mean im getting good? is standard very competitive? do people just not play standard?

To me it looks like most people who play standard aren't very strong players - and that many stronger players either don't play any standard here, or play very few games so that they actually never bother to raise that rating to their true level.
