The short version is: If the king is checked and cannot move out of check or capture the chessman that has checked the king or block the check with another chessman, then the king checkmated. However, if it is the player's turn to move and the only chessman that can be moved is the king and it cannot move without moving into check, then that is a stalemate.
Just a quick question.
I believe my opponent can't make a move, if that move would put his king in check.
Is that correct?
