"Disconnecting"
I've had it happen to me a few times. It is frustrating. Another frustration is when folks abort a game after one move. I'm one of the people that does that. If your lag shows orange or red and I do not abort, it's because I'm not paying attention. Also if you issue a seek for 1 3 and I click on it thinking it is 3 0, I will abort if I notice before the second move. If I fail to notice, I'll put you on my blocked list so we never play again.
Aborting a game is different, to my way of thinking. Much of the time it happens because it is easy to click the wrong place, or to misread something. When that happens, just abort and leave so both can find what they want in a game. To spend time apologizing in that situation seems like a waste of time, although it would show the best manners.
Absolutely.
I am currently in a game that I am 1 move away from completing, but my opponent has "disconnected." I put this word in quotations because it seems that every time my opponent is about to lose, he almost always mysteriously dissapears. This phenomena has happened many times, and I realized it's probably because people don't like losing.
This is pathetic. Accept a loss when it's a loss. Don't be a wanker, have fun and play the damned game.
