With literally THOUSANDS of teams here on site, is it really necessary to 'quit/join/quit/ join' your teams to play in SOME TMs between? MAYBE one should think of limiting team participation to those you might actually 'be attached to' in some meaningful way; AND yes, drop any team, you auto 'dropped' from ALL Vote Chess matches for that team also.
I still think this is an 'idea', without a backing of majority of team oriented members.

. Just IMO, some here on site are IN 'too many teams/groups' to really be viable as 'teammates' to be counted on for TMs and VCs 'in a team setting'; + not a personal opinion only, 'big fan' of the 'quit until TM starts/rejoin former team' type site member, in general: What is the point of that?
I completely agree with the OP! I belong to two groups who routinely play each other. The only option to join these matches is to quit one of the groups. Chess.com needs to fix this!
I'm not in its favour though. Just think of the disadvantages.
What disadvantages? The ability to choose which group you would like to play for in a match? The ability to play in a match with more players in your rating range?

. Do you think site has to 'fix' this 'grievous problem' for you? Membership in 23 groups with just FOUR TMs actually entered into by you...At your 'current rate', it will be over TWO years before you play 'at least one' TM for the teams you belong to, that even PLAY TMs

Yes, perhaps enrrikerrr; but 23 groups membership/4 TMs actually played in 6 months... does NOT lend itself to 'I belong to TWO groups that routinely play each other...' those TWO groups scheduled TMs are preventing him from MORE participation in TMs? Why not then quit ONE team (of those two), if THAT is truly the 'problem'; He would STILL be in 22 teams/groups, free to JOIN ALL THOSE OTHER TMs thus available...
Methinks, HE doth 'protest to much' about a 'self induced, NON issue'...Playing in TMs in GENERAL is NOT a priority with him, 'conflicts or NOT'.

A nice idea, pick a group. I do what sallyand me stated, but last time I did that, I was dropped me from a vote chess game that I liked.
