"remember the game"

A strong player suggested to me that in order for me to get better I need to remember all the move I made during the game.

I need to be able to show my game without looking at the scoresheet after the game. comment: the player who suggested it can do it.

I really don't know if this is a good advise because all the move I made during the game were moves I came up with during the game.

I cannot see the point in remembering all of moves I made through the entire game - I have it on paper.

Maybe someone can tell me if I could benefit from doing so.

I don't see how it could hurt, but I wouldn't stress focused pointless memorization. The key would be focusing on understanding the game, which would make it easier to replay in your head. Know why you did each move, and what was good and bad about it all -- and just as importantly, why your opponent did what he did, and that effect on the game.
