You should report that to Chess.com via Help --> Report Abuse as well, so they can talk to the other person about why their behaviour is unacceptable here and, if necessary, take stronger action.

David, moderator

So you make it easy to report abusive players, but you make it difficult to report chess cheats. Why?

You can report cheaters through exactly the same mechanism, so it's just as easy to do that.

Investigating & verifying cheating is harder to do than doing so for abuse, so sometimes it can seem like nothing is happening, but the Support team will be communicate with you directly.

One cannot change ones racial characteristics and we have literally no control over them, they being inherited genetically.  It is therefore irrational and immoral to discriminate against someone on the basis of their physiology.  That being said there are those who wish to preserve their racial 'heritage', by marrying people of a similar gene pool and they should be allowed to do so without the stigma of being labelled racists.  I cannot think of any reasonable or rational argument of why they should not be permitted to do so, perhaps if you know you can relate it.  There are also those who do not care about such matters and for them it has little meaning.  They see the world through a globalist perspective.  This approach should also be fine as long as there is no bias attached to those who do not harbour the same outlook as so often happens.

ANOK1

from Haile Selassie

His Imperial Majesty, Haile Sellassie I responds to a journalist's question.
TRANSLATION follows below:
I would say that, at the Conference of Heads of African states, that was held last May ,in the capital city of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa, before the signing of the Charter, I have told, in the speech i have made to the distinguished heads of state, that people who were formerly under colonialist regime, and who have suffered a great deal, must have the girth, strength, of wanting to collaborate with their former masters for otherwise, through vengeance and remorse, co-existence would not be possible and this would be detrimental to the preservation of International peace.
I MUST SAY THAT BLACK AND WHITE, AS FORMS OF SPEECH, AND AS A MEANS OF JUDGING MANKIND, SHOULD BE ELIMINATED FROM HUMAN SOCIETY. Human beings are precisely the same whatever colour, race, creed or national origin they may be. Haile Sellassie the First.

Interesting, what do you think of Ali's speech below, i cannot produce the video itself as its probably a bit too controversial for chess dot coms hypersensitive sensibilities.

Its not a case of right or wrong but of the desire to preserve ones identity.  Whether this is racism or not I cannot say.

Preserve your identity is possible without devaluating other identities! That's the point.

yes there should be no necessity to devalue other identities in the preservation of ones own.  Yet if you shall give vent to the idea you risk being subject to a barrage of criticism.

or futile to expect rational answers from irrational people

Irish folk music and blues are great.

I've listened to the Dubliners, the Irish Rovers, the Clancy Brothers, Brendan Behan, Tommy Makem and, of course, Sinead O'Connor.

Try Altan and Lorrena Mckennit, also Christy Moore and Planxty.

"The St. James Infirmary Blues," tune-wise, always reminded me of a more mournful variation of "He Had a Long Chain On."

batgirl

Yeah, Peter Yarrow's version is my favorite.

I never heard Altan before...  an eerily beautiful song
