Rating dramatically decrease

have you ever experienced a huge decrease in your rating in a one month span? like 200+ points … is it a common thing? do you just stop being good at chess?
It has happened to me. 2 times. Once I had just gotten to 1599 and needed 1 point to get to 1600. I started losing and fell to 139someting and quit. I Came back after a month and got to 1700. then to 1800, and finally to 1937. Then I fell to 178something. However, I have gotten back.
I recommend you take a little break. Just rest, and then start applying some music to get motivated. Study some endgames, middlegames, tactics, openings...
