No but if you're skill level is around 1200 for example, but you lost your first two games against someone rated 1200... because maybe you weren't concentrating properly as you were just checking out how the site works... your rating rating would plummet to something like 1050 because of your high glicko rating. Therefore your figure in the stats would not be a true reflection of your real strength.
