Unfortunetly for the first couple games you play, there will be huge jumps, up and down, until it gets slower, you know your rating.
RATINGS

You can see what the rating change will be if you click the details tab to the right of the game board.

Thank you PHudson, I didn't know I could read the results of a game by clicking on the details tab. That's a great help.
Chessminsky, I appreciate your input, although I don't agree that if we played together and you blundered your our Queen as an oversight, I would have earned that piece.
Thank you anyway, I already have my answer. I would lose 45 points if I resign. No need to do that yet.
Hi, I have a question about ratings. I only have 17 games under my belt and have won them all. As a result, I have a 1702 rating (most of my opponents have been very weak) which in no way resembles my true rating.
My issue has to do with a game wich I'm losing to a 1508 player. I blundered a piece early in the game when I wasn't paying attention. It really was a gift to stupidity. He didn't earn it.
The thing i that I'm about to register to play in the 30th chess.com tournament (1600-1800), but I don't feel comfortable playing with players that will probably beat me easily. If I resign my game, could anyone tell me how many points will I drop?
If I drop less than 100 points, I will continue to play and register under the class B section. But if I resign my losing game, will I lose more than 100 points?
If that is the case, I will be able to register in class C section (1400-1600) which is within my chess capabilities.
Does anyone know the answer? How many points will I lose if I resign a losing game against a 1508 player?
Thank you for your help,
