The only real way to strengthen your nerves is to play more to improve your ability to focus; all of that other stuff helps a little but is just a "quick fix".
Recommendations to me to choose the right move.
Hello,
On several occasions, sitting in front of the board and my opponent, I see a series of move that makes me win a pawn. All excited, I only see this one. I find it dificult to reassess my position.
After the game, I realized that if I would have stayed calm, I could have, instead of winning a pawn, won the game instantly.
How do you manage to stay calm (tips please) in front a potential free pawn. Do you take a deep breath, close up your eyes, do you drink water, do you take a walk etc. ....
Thank you in advance for your tips.
