Recording OTB moves over move 60

What should I do when playing OTB if a game plays beyond 60 moves and neither player has under 5 minutes on the clock. Am I still required to notate the game? Should I just use a second scoresheet?

I should clarify that move 60 isn’t a special number, just any number above your scoresheet. 50, 60 etc.

USCF requires recording moves until one player has less than 5 minutes on clock; however, if time control has increments, then all moves, regardless of time on clock, must be recorded.  Recommend recording all moves regardless to have an accurate record of the game.

Notation is required at all times if the increment is at least 30 seconds. If less than that, notation isn't required if either player is below 5 minutes.

@damonf7, in that case, you would get another scoresheet or continue on the back.

Get a second scoresheet.

I use a scorebook that goes up to a 120 moves. But, a second scoresheet is quite common at tournaments. Saturday morning, my first round game went 80 moves.
