What are the rules regarding repetative moves? I just lost a game because a player made repative moves untill my time ran out and it was really frustrating.

Thanks

if players repeat the same moves 3 times it is draw by repetition. if he is repeating the same moves over and over but you are making different moves then the game is still in play.

Now that you know it has to be claimed there is another form of frustration. You may not be able to click the claim draw button fast enough.

The moves don't have to be in succession; it's a draw by repetition if the same position is had 3 times in the same game.  So if you repeated a position twice, made a few different moves, then had the position again, then you could claim a draw.

Thanks for the responses, you have given me a very precise answer to my question.

As TadDude pointed out, in a fast-move live game if it's your move that triggers the 3rd repetition, there's a good chance your opponent will get his next move in before you realize a draw could be claimed, or before you can click to claim it even if you do realize it.  What will happen is the button that usually reads "offer draw" will change to read "claim draw", and only for that move.  Then it goes back to "offer draw" again unless another 3-fold situation comes up.  It's very easy to miss seeing the change on the button if you don't already realize on your own that it should be a draw situation and look for the opportunity.  In a slower move live game or a correspondence game you might be more likely to notice the button change and be able to employ the draw claim.
