Click on the thingy lower left corner and select Resign.
Is it really that tough?

On the computer it's not a problem, it's on the iPad...

The answer is probably typing: /resign in the chat box.

there is an icon at bottom left of screen

or something like this that opens up a bunch of in game options like offer draw, resign, etc.

in v3 you just click on the little flag...guess it means you are waving a white flag after the battle....
