Road to 2200! Messy Game & Milestone

Hey all! This was not the cleanest win of my chess career, but it was a complicated game so I’ll give myself a break.

The cool thing about this milestone, though, is that it places me in the top #500 rapid players with a United Kingdom flag, and that’s pretty cool.

The game itself is an interesting one, and while my last moves weren’t super accurate, it’s worth noting that my opponent was very low on time in a 10/0 game, so I chose the moves I thought required the most thinking by my opponent and played quickly, rather than took time to find the best possible move.

I also noticed that you often have a knight jumping into an open center in your games.

Well open centres benefit attacking players like me, and knights are best placed where they can see as much of the board as possible, so both are true!
