Naiditsch was like 2720 when he beat Carlsen
Saric and Naiditsch

Well, Naiditsch is the german number one, so it makes sense to include him in strong german tournaments. He is also every year one of the absolute topscorer in the strong german bundesliga.
Saric is also not a weak player with 2666.
I find it cool that just because they beat Carlsen once ( Both of them beat him at the Olympiad), they get invited to Super GM tournaments as the lowest seed ( no shame in that of course)
Saric won Tata Steel Challengers in 2014 and that's how he earned the spot in Tata Steel Masters this year.

It also helps that these guys are below 2700 when they beat Carlsen and still below 2700 now. (>2700 players that can give Carlsen a hard time! )
Seems like beating Carlsen once (in classical) is enough to get invited to strong tournaments (at least once).
Who will be the next 2600 level player that beats Carlsen? Definitely not Wei Yi :D because he will be 2700 soon
