Is there such a thing as a tiddlywinks engine? If not, I fear I might go through withdrawal...

My Grandmother won the EU Tiddlywinks open in 51. Sadly she had to stop playing. She was hit in the eye with a runaway wink and it blinded her.

I guess they didn't wear safety goggles back in '51?

Yawn-khriztoph-Dodo

Nope PPE wasn't used in the game until 64. she was an advocate for it. She constructed a rally in 62 to show people what could happen without proper safety measures. The blinding was a blessing in disguise, it made her a crack shot at duck hunt

I've been under the impression that Tiddlywinks was first introduced at the Great Exhibition of 1851 by John Jaques II, the manufacturer of the then recently designed Staunton chess set, along with Snakes and Ladders.

The first international chess tournament, organized by Staunton and won by Anderssen, also took place during this exhibition.

I'm just glad Queen Vickie wasn't around to see it.

I'm still trying to figure out how a crystal palace could burn down.

Crystal melts, the structural integrity was compromised. I am sure of this since I lit the fire.

I don't think it was really crystal but rather glass and metal.  Those Victorians had the market on poetic license.

I think catnip is offensive. It's a gateway drug. Ask any stray cat you see. That's how all their stories start.

My cat used to go crazy oven my laser pointer.

I've never actually seen a cat go all drooly on that stuff (I've just heard the reports).

It's absolutely true, A lady down the street from me was robbed. The cat used it's danger mittens on her for 3.18! No one is safe as long as it's on the streets
