There are endless resources on YouTube for how to deal with scholar's mate and early queen attacks. Gotham Chess is one I would recommend.

Probably a setup of something with Nbc3, d3, Bg5, and O-O-O looks pretty nice. There are probably other decent or maybe even better setups but this is what I like just based on intuition and first impressions.

I agree with something like this too. Primarily O-O-O and Bg5 are givens since they play aggressively in an already aggressive opening. c3 seems a little slow but I can see why it would be good because it takes away Nd4 and combined with castling queenside d4 can become a very powerful break so maybe it might be a stronger setup than the Nc3 d3 setup I opted for.

My main intention with Nc3 is to be able to control d5 better and maybe have some ideas of further pressure with Bg5 and Nd5. Also, I feel like the knight is much happier on c3 instead of the eventual d2. Nevertheless, you can probably play a knight reroute like Nd2-f1-g3/e3.

Then again I feel like c3 with d4 is a little too slow and that my setup gets out my pieces a lot faster, is easier play/understand, and is in the spirit of the opening.

PS: It's not out the question that you could castle kingside also lol. Upon looking at the engine it likes the Nbc3 followed by d3 setup.. it's not super keen on playing Bg5 although playable and it also seems to prefer O-O over O-O-O.

So perhaps on an aggressive/non-objective/practical attacking sense, O-O-O could be preferred. However, in terms of engine I notice that a lot of the time if not all the time engine seems to like O-O over O-O-O lol.

Thanks!

Happy to do it and actually because of you I'm considering developing my own aggressive e4 repertoire and this will be in it!

yea plus I don't know what blacks bishop on g7 would be doing being blocked by a pawn, so maybe ig it is playable

I would say c3, d4, 0-0 and play it like an Italian

but h3 might have to be played if they move the d-pawn

as a Ruy Lopez player, I woulkd say that Nd2-f1-g3/e3 would be better but idk for people who like to play Nc3
