I went to the SCID website and downloaded "scidlet20Kzip and scidlet40Kzip) Once I unpack them how do I intergrate into the SCID program.

Chess Engines under SCID Linls

Downloaded the Stockfish engine.  Same question.

Tried to acess the Crafty link, didn't seem to work for me.

Nalimov Endgame Tables and SCID

I am of the delusion there is a way to intergrate 6 position Nalimov Endgame Tables into SCID.

If so where would I get them and how to intergrate????

Is it possile to set the "Options" so a specific Database is loaded automatically when SCID is launched?

For plugging in engines, just copy the UCI engine .exe (specific for your O.S and processor type (32-bit, 64-bit etc.) into a known location and create an engine reference in SCID (tools, engine, add new...) , having it point to the .exe path.

Google around for them. They are quite big (6 piece and above?) so once you do, store them on your PC and have SCID find them via Tools -> Options -> Tablebase directories.

According to the help file in SCID, yes....

Can I get Scid to load a database when it starts?
Yes, you can add databases, PGN files or EPD files to the command line. For example:  scid mybase games.pgn.gz
will load the Scid database mybase and also load the Gzip-compressed PGN file games.pgn.gz
