Score Sheet to pgn

Hello Everybody! I would like to know if there are an app that convert the score sheet of chess's games in a pgn with just one photo. I think would be a very good idea no? What do you think? Thank You.

You'd think such a program would exist already... but I've not found one yet after spending some time looking.  So I wrote my own that's trained on my son's hand writing. 

In fact, you can use off-the-shelf software: define the regions of interest (i.e. boxes where you write the moves on the score sheet), run OCR, ta-da!

One of the problems is that many of my son's game records aren't entirely correct, so a correction software pass was needed; although I don't think that'd be a problem with adults or older kids.

Getting the OCR to work would be a pain.

It's a bit easier than it looks (assuming that you have ok handwriting).  There are few characters and numbers and things are always written in the same few formats.

Also, any pain is limited to one time; once you've trained the software, it'll work the next time.

And what do you think? You will pay for an app like that if was chip some like 1-2 euros/year?

I'd pay $100 for an app like that.

Anyway, I might release something like that for free, if I ever get around to it.  Currently, I have a working prototype where phone sends pic of USCF score sheet to computer and gets PGN back.

I’ve been working on a mobile app (Android/iOS) for this purpose: scoresheet.cam. It lets you take a photo of your score sheet and automatically converts it into PGN. You can then import the game directly into the Chess.com/Lichess apps for analysis. The app is subscription-based, but you can try it for free without any registration.
