Scribd.com makes a “ton†of chess books available for reading.
Scribd.com is good for what it is - an inexpensive resource, online library of books to read...(for a monthly fee)...

Scribd.com is not a competitor. The rule is against advertising competitors, and against spam. This isn't much different from saying "I just read this really good book".
That said, it's a better fit for the books & equipment subforum.

Hehe. I think there may be an element of confusion here. The PDF books you download (from 'Documents') continue to be available for you to read. However, the books you read under 'Books' are no longer available once your subscription expires.
Have you guys seen scribd.com? For $8/month it’s not a bad deal. I’ve seen every copy of the hard copies of chess books I have and a whole lot more. It’s precious find. Your thoughts?
