Has anyone read/worked with or knows anything about John Seddons and his work around Systems Thinking??? This has become an addiction of mine (a bit like chess I guess) and I wondered if anyone within the great Chess.com community had any knowledge or interest in this stuff and any thought on how and if you link it to your chess playing.

I guess most readers will just think this is a very strange post (which I guess it is)....But for those of you who have an interest in the work of Seddons, I would love to hear from you! Tell me how you apply Purpose Measures Method to your playing!

Okay...I just read a quick synapsis of the book and I can tell I already agree and have been thinking along the same lines.

"In place of the current mess, he advocates a Systems Thinking approach where individuals come first, waste is reduced and responsibility replaces blame. It's an approach that is proven, successful and relatively cheap - and one that governments around the world, and their advisers, need to adopt urgently."

The methos which Seddons gives around Systems Thinking, rather than Command and control is talked about in his book "Freedom from Command and control"..Here he explains his thinking behind a number of concepts including "Purpose, Measures, Method.... This is something which I have been working on for around 2 years now and still keep learning more each day on the matter...I had hoped that this post might draw some interest by others who might have been involved in this type of work...but not as yet!
