See and talk with opponent

No because people are bad and it opens the door for verbal abuse, rude and obscene gestures etc. But you could go to a real chess club?

Is there any way or other platform where I can actually talk and see my opponent. would love to be able to chat rather then type.
i expect this question to be asked before, but if any one can help please let me know
