Server Issues / Disconnects

I've played several times over the last week and I've noticed an increase in the number of disconnecting players, time outs and just plain server issues. In some games I'm waiting for my partner to move, the timer gets to zero and the game ends in frustration.

I exit out of the game and go back into it to find out more information and shockingly I was the one timing out in some games, others not.

Perhaps chess.com should focus on fixing their current server and issues before adding on kiddie Clash of Clans variants and silly games with jumping and spells.

I think even if you do get an influx of new players, they won't stick around long, especially in such a buggy site. This has been an ongoing problem for the last several years that I can recall.

There haven't been widespread server issues in a while.

However, you may be experiencing disconnects due to issues between you and the server. There are some things you can do to minimize issues on your end

The simple internet clear cache tips aren't much help, but I see that you're a moderator and this is your usual advice for people.

"There haven't been widespread server issues in a while." is misleading. I just searched "disconnects" and "lag" in the search bar and of course found endless topics wondering why games are cancelled. And of course your usual tip of clearing the cache is there as well.

My fault, I should have searched before posting. As clearly with the amount of people experiencing this issue and posting about it Chess.com considers the problem is not on their side and no solution is required.
