Good idea! And them also remove all pieces except the Kings. Now we have ultimate Chess

But we already do.  We shake hands, write 1/2-1/2 on the scoresheet, and the stalemate is over. 

How can you remove stalemate? What happens  if you have no legal moves and are not it check? We should keep it. The game would be broken  without it.

Many have suggested stalemate should be a win, not a draw.

But that would disrupt 90% of all endgame theory.

Endgames were hard enough to earn the first time. I rather not do it twice.
