It is a 4.5 but with 2 inch squares.

brother7, That was one of the things I liked about that board. Seems to be one that will quite versatile with different sets. I originally wanted a more natural color set but that Red and White kept calling my name. Plus I love the Kings side markings on the Rook and Knight. I am beyond happy with my purchase. And my wife just comments when she walks by the set on our table at hoe beautiful it looks.

nullI have several chess sets: travel set, marble & metal, tournament set, and 2 chess clocks (analog and digital).

That board looks seriously old.  Maybe it is worth something?

Love, love, love the value of the board and the craftmanship. It definetly feels a lot more natural compared to my other Rechapados Ferrer Walnut/Maple board and only costed 25 €. Unbelivable imo.

Lovely stuff @alexmares50 - the variation of pieces in your collection is something I’d like to emulate. 👍

Yes, it is. I love it! Unfortunately I don't understand the second part about the space 😅

"watch this space" is an English idiom that encourages someone to pay attention to something (in this case, this thread) for changes and/or additions (more information, a big announcement, etc.) in the near future.  My guess is that Powder's hinting that he has a set either ordered or on the way.

Ah right, here where I come from it means we have to guard the space/spot until he comes back. I usually refuse as I have no idea when he will come back.

Ahh I see. Thanks for the explanation!

Here is a 51 mm board I picked up recently to be used with my 3.5” sets. Here is my SC 3.5” Morphy on it.

Awesome board. Is it vintage? And what is that box you're using for your pieces? Have you shown it before?

That’s the exact board I want. Something exactly like that. Great find!!!! Congrats.
