About New Year's Eve... at the party thing I went to, it was very formal so they had a live band in the backyard area. A piano player/singer, drums, and electric guitar I think it was. And at one point that night, they asked me to request a song!!!! So I chose "Stand By Me". That was fun! Hope you all had a nice New Year's Eve too.
Nice song choice! I'm actually on vacation in a hotel where they have a huge (almost life-sized) chess board outside. I played a few games with my family and it was fun.
Thank you =) I have a feeling my date rolled his eyes at me when I chose it. Maybe overly sentimental or something. (All the songs he tried requesting the band didn't know, lol... so why not go with a nice classic.) But it was still a lovely night of course!
And family chess, hmmmm... sounds much more chill than family Monopoly or something like that. Heh. :D

I've read that blitz chess kills your ideas because you've gotta think so fast. Now, now, there are benefits to blitz too.

HAHAHAH!!!!!! To be honest, Camber, I am not a fan of Frozen either. The story is totally predictable. It's just way over hyped, which everyone knows. It's mainly about making money off Disney merchandise.
But, I do like Sven! And Olaf is kinda funny too.
Hey btw it's January 3rd. AKA past Christmas and New Year's Eve. AKA weren't you gonna change your profile pic? Aw, that means I can't be a cute reindeer anymore... I was showing him off for the holidays =(

Can't believe I'm about to defend Frozen right now. A movie I'm not even crazy about. I'd give it a 4/10.

Today, me wife told a friend of hers that I was a good chess player. He responded that he could probably beat me, that he was pretty good and once beat Bobby Fischer in a simul 30 years ago. Yeah right. Fischer played no chess between 1972 and 1992 and 30 years ago would have been 1985. He wasn't playing anyone then. I then asked him what he thought of the Sicilian, Najdorf Poison Pawn variation that Fischer played. He had no idea what I was talking about. Did he even know Fischer was dead or who Magnus Carlsen was? I doubt it.
