English defence no good... is refuted?
Sicilian Kan for d4?

Out of curiosity, who has the better position and why, in the game above?
White, thanks to space advantage and a more economical development.

i was so fed up facing KID experts i try something different?
After playing classical and petrosian, gligoric, even saemich variation with little success... i had idea of playing colle zukertort style, just develop quiet... let KID guy do his thing?
Has worked great?! KID player get ready for usual e or c pawn break, and they don't have a target? After a decent pause they play some inferior move, and white get initiative?!
Sounds a bit crazy, but give a go, they don't know a response...

Not the London, though that is another option, more Colle, with triangle and fianchetto bishop to b2, safe and solid, then just play...
KID guys are so used to central attack they seem confused by quiet development...
probably no good at master level, but has worked for me?

Optimissed: If you're more of a positional player, I'm not surprised that you find it comfortable to play against the Nimzo and Queen's Indian over time. As for the KID, sounds like you've found your 'niche' market there ;-) Personally, I prefer the Fianchetto Variation. It's surprising how few players actually know how to counter it in the most effective way. I think LionVanHalen is right that they feel a bit lost when they can't play the opening in the usual manner.
LionVanHalen and poucin: This is rather curious. A friend of mine (former British senior champion) regularly plays the Colle and the London, and he finds it easy to play against KID. I can only take his word for it, since I don't play either opening as White.

Colle is rather dubious against KID.
Too easy play for black.
If u want tomething better and similar, the double fianchetto, played by Kramnik and others (Meier for example), is great.

thanks poucin... am sure at IM level is a dubious plan, but lower down seem quite effective?
KID guy do his usual autopilot thing, blitz opening 5 move or so... then seem to be Huh... what are you doing? Why you not attack and squeezing? i attempt similar against English Attack... where i just switch to Q side play and ignore? Usual there is pause... and then they charge pawns anyway, at no target... a little ridiculous?
But thanks for double fiachetto idea, i know Kramnik was very good against KID...

Not sure whats so difficult to play against KID? Lion no play defense? Lion should easily dismantle KID if Lion plays 1. d4 because of AZ.
Also the way of playing the position after 1.d4 Nf6 2c4 b6 isn't remotely similar to the english defence 1.d4 e6 2c4 b6. In the later, black has ideas with f5 for fighting against the big centre, which aren't available in the other line.
Funnily enough, I've always bunched 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 b6 and 1.d4 e6 2.c4 b6 together as virtually the same defence, but it has to be said that the English Defence is slightly better than the Accelerated Queen's Indian.
However, for anyone who prefers to play the Sicilian Kan against 1.e4, replying 1...e6 to 1.d4 is a distinctly bad idea, since an opponent who's looked up what you play as Black will immediately play 2.e4, and transpose to the French Defence. For anyone playing the English Defence as Black against 1.d4, a more natural fit against 1.e4 would be the Owen's Defence (1.e4 b6 2.d4 e6), while a Hedgehog player (in reply to 1.e4) is much better off playing the Queen's Indian when faced with 1.d4.
