Perhaps unsmoked salmon would make your rating go up? You should try this one. Might make you a GM.

Hi guys,
this is huge. i think i'm about to demonstrate a mindblowing theory.
in the recent last months, for some reasons (mainly the taste and the omega3 BS), i decided to eat as much as smoked salmon as i could. luckily for me, my friend working in this fish company could provide me with huge amounts of smoked salmon for really cheap.
so i started eating smoked salmon on a regular basis, every day, for breakfast mostly, and for snacks too. i think i was in the top 3 of smoked salmon eater in the world.
at the same time, my chess rating started dropping. but i didn't worry much about it.
sometimes i had some breaks from the intensive smoked salmon eating, because my friend couldn't supply my demands. and my rating went up again.
it went on and on for like 4-5 times in a row : when i eat smoked salmon, i lose rating. when don't, my rating goes back up to where it was.
the 2 are highly correlated. i didn't think at all about it at first, so it can't be the placebo (or rather nocebo) effect
man, this is huge.
you may argue, then, if your theory is true, why would the number 1 in the world be a norvegian (assuming a big smoked salmon eater).
i'd say Magnus is the exception that proves the rule.
now i'm a scientist. all my previous researches have failed me before, but i'm feeling really good about this one. can some of you guys start eating smoked salmon quite a lot for a few days (a week would be enough for a start) and tell me how your chess rating goes?!
thanks!
