So, Hikaru Visited Lichess ...

After winning his 4th consecutive Speed Chess Championship, Hikaru Nakamura mentioned that he played a few games on Lichess, recently.

Immediately curious, I went to that site's Bullet leaderboard to find him. It took only a few seconds to spot his username: "TSMFTXH".

The playing session that he mentioned began 2 days ago, and he's currently 3000+, and #14 in the top player's list.

Some of you might find this interesting, because a certain World Champion also plays on that site ...

I don't know if Hikaru will continue to dabble over there, but if he does, there's a chance that "TSMFTXH" and "DrChampionstein" might run into each other ... perhaps in a bullet match ...

It would certainly be fun to see some games between them. (Especially if Naka gets crushed)

Naroditsky, who has played both of them hundreds of times, said at one point that he believes Carlsen is simply a stronger online player than Naka, even in non-increment bullet.

 But if he's already 3000 and 14th on the whole site in two days, no he didn't get slaughtered. He would have crushed almost everyone he played. How does it even make sense to say that? There is literally no human on the planet that can slaughter Hikaru in fast online chess....and there is only one person that can really beat him in a speed match.  He's literally the second best blitz and bullet player on Earth. So unless he only played Magnus I'm very curious how one supports the argument he got slaughtered. You make it sound like Lichess is nothing, nothing but alien chess gods for whom the weakest players are 4000s and go up to 6000s or something. No, Hikaru can go to Lichess and godstomp every human on there except for maybe 5, and 4 of those remaining 5 he would beat soundly, and only 1 could beat him in the long run.

 There is no human on Earth that can adopt Hikaru, and you know that perfectly well.

I would say Dr Drunkenstein would win, but you never know.

I think Magnus and Naka have played 2 separate 3 hour matches on here. 

The Magster won both. I think he's higher rated in blitz AND bullet.

True. But I think their last match, here, was 5 years ago.

Since then, Hikaru has been walking all over everyone. Without Carlsen to stand in the way, Nakamura seems to have very little competition.

(Even Wesley So joked that maybe Hikaru should sit out one of the next SCCs, just to give other players a chance ...)

Mostly, I find the idea of Hikaru playing on Lichess to be fascinating because there, he might finally run into someone capable of giving him a serious struggle: Carlsen himself.

I think it'll be an exciting tournament. Besides Hikaru, there will also be in attendance: Carlsen and Firouzja.

I'm betting a lot of eyes will be on Magnus and Alireza, when they face each other, due to Carlsen's recent comments.

Magnus and Hikaru squaring off should also be quite thrilling.
