Some players on this site are way too good/bad for their rating.

Oh the hollowness of it all.

Some will cheat and  some won't-

Why not just ask him and see if he is a liar too?

If you think someone rated 786 plays like that, you're a bigger mug than you sound mate. We're talking "how does horsey move, again?" type of rating. Not slamming off perfect engine moves in rapid succession.

lol, not even close and insulting. most 780 elo here know how to play chess, they just blunder much more, BUT NOT ALWAYS. I know, because I was there and I am still close to that. Actually, I feel more and more comfortable the higher I go. The trick for me is to not tilt and embrace the randomness of the opponents. You tilt, you go down and down there is not as easy as someone might think. most players here have played hundreds of games and many, have read books and studied chess. a small difference in playing strength or consistency or both, can translate to a big elo gap, but that gap is not visible in every single game. it will become apparent in a best of 10 or something.

Maybe the person did use assistance but I have also had a few games where I had all excellent or good moves with no inaccuracies/mistakes/blunders according to the computer. It happens depending on the type of game and whether or not I get lucky. Since closing an account is a pretty big deal, the staff will probably need to see more than a small percentage of games with perfect moves in order to do it.

From almost 2500 to 1780. Its always such a pleasure to play these players.

May I make a small side note? 13,000 wins and 12,500 loses?! And I thought I loved to play chess!

There is just so much rating inflation and cheating on this site it is almost impossible to get good games anymore. This is only exasperated by the nature of chess - you can play well for most of the game, but just one bad move near the end and it might be all over.

The only way to enjoy chess here is to not mess up at all, which is simply not feasible for someone like me. This is even true for the tactics trainer. I'm a human, not an engine!

If I contrast this site with players at my local chess club, the difference is night and day. 1700's like myself just don't play almost perfect chess like the ones on this site do. It's extremely jarring and annoying when it happens.

Maybe this site needs a reboot or something, so that the rating system can be fixed. I don't know.

So how did thousands of other amateurs and GM get 2000+/ 3000+ online blitz/bullet rating in this site?

Explain plz.

Before I begin I would like to say that overall, this site is great - impressive features, nice aesthetics, it's all really good. But I have a constructive criticism that I would like to make.

It's getting to the point now where it isn't fun to play on this site most of the time. I can't always enjoy it because no-one seems to play at the level their rating suggests. I generally hover around the 1700-1900 level, but I usually feel like I'm always playing someone either 1500 or 2100 despite only challenging members within 50 points of my rating.

I play on other chess websites, and this one seems the most unbalanced. This is why I don't play on this site very much for that reason, despite how good the site is otherwise. I sometimes go weeks or even months without visiting, which only increases the problem because that causes my rating to jump about even more!

Thoughts?

1. They chose a newbie level and are working there way up,

2. They chose expert and are pure nub,

3. They simply don't play a lot online,

or

4. Ever thought of this, YOU just play WORSE on chess.com,

A quick Q, Bullet, Blitz, or Rapid?

I will tell you what it is. you play on a site that starts by 1500 so the rating is automatically higher your around 1900 fine. than you come here and you can't beat 1700 players... you struggle at it. you thought your better.... and its simple its just different ratings and more accurate ones. hope this helps.

what kind of a name is tipish? You like to tip? 1-dollar tips preferrably, im assuming
