This is a game i played today. Uneated and 30 mins, allowing for plenty of calculation and times in the middlegame and endgames. My rapid Elo is currently 537, and since a massive losing streak from 1061 to 537, if playing rapid i only play unrated in that time control. (That losing streak was because of me just smashing out games without analysing or oven considering my mistakes. I've rectified that mistake) My rule right now is to play a max of 2-3 focused medium time control games (20-60 mins), but a some days i'm not good at this and end up binging a few 3 min blitz or 4-5 bullet 1 mins, so i need to fix that one. That i can do with careful habits. At this point after 1 year of chess, I would say i catch most of my mistakes through self analysis(no eval bar) , analysis with engine, and game review and in my next focused game, recognise around 60% before they happen, and fix roughly 50-55% of my mistakes on a good day in a pinpoint concentrated state of mind. Most of my learning and studying consists of my analysis, which to be honest isn't much, as i mentioned before, and watching videos of openings and lines and finding them on chess.com, then playing around with some analysis on sort of 'sub-lines' i guess. There are the inevitable slip ups, like in the game above, where i missed a checkmate that should have been obvious after so long doing chess puzzles. But in longer time controls, a lot of these mistakes can be fixed.
Aight so my point is, I would benefit from some sort of free mentorship. maybe like advice, or, something that could be worked out between me and whoever want to teach me.
