Hi Hashish

Hi Hashish
And Hi to you too. Seems like you came out of hiding with both barrels blasting, best news of the week.
I have a cold so I'm not working tonight. I've been Interknitting all day
I had to look that one up.
1. Interknitting
Oh God, that stuff is even worse!
Four months since I started this thread and still Spell Check is not working; however it dosen't say "No Misspellings Found" anymore it just has a twirling gear that goes on and on and on and ............
Yes, spell checker continues to FAIL, months later.
And much of the writing in these treads continues to suck.
"Computing power" continues to make all our lives simple and easy ??
It's a win-win situation all round.
Spelling should be much simpler:
Although many people have attributed the "Plan for the Improvement of English Spelling" to Mark Twain, most Twain scholars doubt that this attribution is accurate. It has also (and probably more accurately) been attributed to one M.J. Yilz, in a letter he wrote to the journal The Economist.
For example, in Year 1 that useless letter "c" would be dropped to be replased either by "k" or "s", and likewise "x" would no longer be part of the alphabet.
The only kase in which "c" would be retained would be the "ch" formation, which will be dealt with later.
Year 2 might reform "w" spelling, so that "which" and "one" would take the same konsonant, wile Year 3 might well abolish "y" replasing it with "i" and iear 4 might fiks the "g/j" anomali wonse and for all.
Jenerally, then, the improvement would kontinue iear bai iear with iear 5 doing awai with useless double konsonants, and iears 6-12 or so modifaiing vowlz and the rimeining voist and unvoist konsonants.
Bai iear 15 or sou, it wud fainali bi posibl tu meik ius ov thi ridandant letez "c", "y" and "x" -- bai now jast a memori in the maindz ov ould doderez -- tu riplais "ch", "sh", and "th" rispektivli.
Fainali, xen, aafte sam 20 iers ov orxogrefkl riform, wi wud hev a lojikl, kohirnt speling in ius xrewawt xe Ingliy-spiking werld.
I guess that would be okay, then people could spell anything wrong and no one would be able to tell.
Apparently, Chess.com is asleep at the wheel regarding the spell checker.
To bad for all concerned. We're playing in the bush leagues.
Who cares about spell check? The only check you want is check mate. And how could you check all the languages here? French, arab, chinese, english,...
I care about it and that's what counts.
Indeed, I still want spell-check fixed. People should clean up their prose. Always.
How hard can the programming be ??
Don't hold your breath. It's already been 9 months and counting.
Such a shame that Chess.com should decide to ignore this deficiency.
A button already exists, it used to work (albeit with a dodgy New World dictionary), as others have said "How hard can it be?".
Seriously now, as a long time paying customer, who happens to be largely satisfied, it's way past time for Chess.com to step up, addressing this matter properly.
Even free sites have spell checker.
