He does seem rather dumb at times, but then again he's oftentimes very lucky. I can imagine him being creative though. Maybe 1000-1100 considering he presumably never had coaching or read any material on the game and would enjoy himself and want to win enough to not dip below that threshold. I can easily see him beating Squidward, and Tarrasch ironically reminds me of Squidward due to their personalities.
