But pigs, cows and chickens aren't threatened species.

What about octopus?

Not yet. Too bad I screwed-up when I bought my plane ticket. Otherwise I'd have been in Spain trying it out. I think it's not much of a stretch to eat. I love squid and suspect they are quite similar.

I don't eat meat but that's still funny Laughing

Yeah, I sorta felt the same way when my wife showed-up with it. But I realized NOT eating it would make no difference, so I might as well give it a try.

Scottrf

Fair enough.

I maintain that I found a tiger though.

Pulpofeira

But to eat proper octopus at a reasonable price you must be in Galicia, preferably southeast. Too many complications! :)

After much discussion from our panel of judges, they decided you should be awarded a pointless trophy too.

Oh, I thought this would be thread with a story about a tiger named Spot.

Funny you should say that.

In Thai, with the exception of lions, all big cats are called [something] tiger. For example, leopards are called 'star' tigers, or, sometimes 'spotted' tigers.

But, if you want a story about a tiger named spot, I'm happy to oblige.

There once was a man from America who traveled to Thailand. Just as he was about to leave, he ate a tiger. The tiger's name was spot.

And it still could be!

One day, a tiger named Spot was prowling through the jungle when...

So, the beer cans also have a tiger on them in one possible interpetation.

Is that some crispy-fried tiger in the bowl?  A well-known aphrodisiac.

Congratulations!!!!

Indeed, it is crispy tiger 'jerky'.

It is a very rare treat. Dried tiger meat that is then fried and eaten with cold-cold beer.

It has a bit of a smoky/gamy falvor. Not exceptionally delicious, but good just the same.

Here is a short list of animals I've had the opportunity to eat since I've been in Thailand:

tiger

elephant

lizard

snake

a variety of crispy fried bugs

possibly rat

boar (This was really good)

You missed to add the one in your profile pic. ;)

I have the exact same chess set :)

Is this what it's come to kleelof, trolling vegetarians and conservationists on a chess site?

Pathetic.

TheOldReb

Sounds like an April fool's joke to me .  Since Tigers are endangered/protected I doubt seriously they serve them in restaurants anywhere .

ProfessorProfesesen

Lol probably just wild boar....yeah sure it's tiger!

DrSpudnik

April 1 was over a week ago. I suspect the actual animal eaten was dog.

AlCzervik

I see him. He's at Augusta, GA.

It was probably just somebody's pet cat named tiger.
