Your current blitz rating is 993. I stand corrected: an under 1000

Only 2 games played. That rating is meaningless

Give me one example of any other real sport in the world that gives a life line to a player in heavily losing position. The only thing I can think of is potting the black in pool or snooker, but you can only do that with the intention of doing it...

Here are two:
Boxing - being saved by the bell
Nine-Ball - pocketing the nine-ball wins regardless how far behind you are

Your post is just the type of whining people do when they can't checkmate regardless of their advantage.

Only a loser would come up with the dumb rule that is stalemate because only a loser would have this logic...

Mwell, a loser you say? And how is it you understand the simple fact that every single time someone complains in this forum about the stalemate rule, it appears to be a very low rated player obviously still struggling with the fundamentals of the game?

you were saying? clown

Maybe learn to play chess better instead of rating shaming others...

Kaeldorn

The universal success of chess lies in the subtle balance there is in the rules of the game. A balance that has been perfected over the past centuries, as problems got solved and imbalances corrected.

Chess rules were decided under the pressure and the duress of money prized matches and tournaments, where solutions satisfying all participants, sponsors and spectators had to be found.

A read of the History of Chess could help those who do doubt chess rules, such as stalemate, en passant, clock related rules, and so on.

stalemating ideas add immeasurably to the beauty of chess, as in this superb endgame study by selezniev:

1.a5! b5! 2.a6! Kd5 3.Kb4 Kc6 4.Ka5! Kc5 DRAW!! 😆

I completely agree, even though there are some really nice tactics to force stalemates sometimes it would still be better to have the person being stalemated lose because there are so many times where you outplay your opponent and have like an extra pawn but it doesn't matter

if stalemate wasn't invented what would happen if the king can't move anywhere but is not in check
