Stalling in Blitz: Unsportsmanlike?
Clearly the previous poster did not read the original post and his garbled babbling is to be disregarded. Sportsmanship can be a moving target. If you have played a great game but see that you have lost and feel it is appropriate to resign then that is the sportsmanlike thing to do. I do no believe there is an objective bright line rule. have fun man
So, when you're playing a blitz/bullet/lightning game and you have about a 20 second advantage over the opponent, at what point is it unfair to keep making them chase you around the board trying to finish you off while their clock runs down? It seems like if your position is clearly losing the sportsmanlike thing to do would be to resign the game so that your opponent does not lose the game on time even though their play was superior.
What do you think? What is the line between fair play and stalling?
