standard chess is redundant! we need change

I took a look at your ratings, and now understand, you have no idea what youre talking about. If chess "bores" you? Youre not doing it right.

I see, ratings affect enjoyment?
It shouldnt but for some it does. Your losing games in 6 moves, and yet you need a new "variant" because the game bores you? Why not actually work on getting better at chess?
what I'm saying is: when you go shopping, you have the whole store to choose from. why pick one item? in war, no two battles start the same. standard chess is blinkered.

While I agree with those who point out you have barely begun to understand chess yet find it boring and urge you to look deeper, I would also ask you if you've checked out chess960 here or elsewhere - it randomizes the pieces' staring positions.

Who is forcing you to play standard chess.
I agree though, it’s boring once you’ve memorised the 10^43 positions.
learning, chess, both should be about knowledge and applying knowledge (wisdom). those who memorize openings, hurray for them. I'm suggesting broadening the scope of chess. chess960 as u say, starts going down that road. chess is an elegant and beautiful game. my contention is, however, that standard chess is like driving a Ferrari with the handbrake on

Or, maybe, driving a Ferrari without turning the engine on yourself.
Honestly though, pass your test before complaining someone else pushed the start/stop button.

You might enjoy this new variant I created:

love your cutting observations
The comments arent "cutting" Youre getting advice form a veteran chess player. And what do you do? You dont like his "cutting" remarks. Youre barely passed the beginner stage, and youre "bored" with chess? At least try and get some basic understanding of a game you obviously dont understand. Bordeom is just another way of saying you dont know what youre doing. Now you can call my remarks cutting if you like :-)
what I find interesting: I open up a debate. and 'veteran chess players' react with personal attacks because my opinion is different from theirs. I wonder if this reflects all top end players' behaviour

Probably. I mean since they all start chess with the same line-up they'll surely have the same opinions, simple logic really
