Well,  my estimate of the end of January is shot.  Guess I won't be winning the v3 release date office pool

You have an office pool for the V3 release date? You must be working at an amazing place

Martin_Stahl

Not really. Just trying to be funny

Well that's at least 6 more months that I grace Chess.com with my presence. You people should feel lucky for that.

After a pawn has crossed the board and is in one position from being promoted, is it aloud to move diagonally without taking an apponents piece into the promotion position?

No. The pawn only ever moves diagonally when taking another piece. Otherwise it only moves straight.

I should get 100 bonus points for biting my tougne. Unlike my reputation in the forums, I didn't think "CEO Corner" was the proper time or place to be funny. It was likeUndecided going to church.  If Erik is that uncomfortable in front of the camera, we could try member auditions...?

So.... some people work for a living.  Is there a transcript available.

This reminds me of MW2, Modern Warfare 2's map, Broadcast.

I can only assume it was pretty cringey or else they would have uploaded the vid to chesscom's youtube channel.

WTF

I can't login to V2?????

Robert_New_Alekhine

Enter chess.com/switch and you should be fine :)

I agree with you Darth.

I'm not a fan of change and the new V3 Lay out looks childish.

Fifica

Why can't I play unrated games within a certain rating range of opponents like it's the case with rated games?

Yeah I found it!

The TV announcment was over top of the switch button.

I started to panick lol.

I hate the new V3 set up.

They spent so much time on V3 only to have the site look like a little theme park for little kids.

Of course it was cringey - it was 30 minutes of ME talking!

RonaldJosephCote

I didn't mean any disrespect about that. It was billed as an in-house Q & A session, so I don't see any reason to put it up on U-Tube. Maybe we should call the next one,Undecided..A night at the Improv..?  There was no script per se, so I would give Erik 3 stars *** for ab-libing.Smile

The problem with V3 is not that it's not good.
It's that they've been sitting on the same beta version for more than 2 years and they still make promises to members about it.
None of the reported bugs been fixed.
Not even the freaking typos of the translations been fixed.
It's the same exact thing that it was when first announced.
